San Juan, Puerto Rico (Monday, June 15, 2020) – The Ricky Martin Foundation reaches out to families in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, residents of communities highly vulnerable to COVID-19 and natural disasters, through the new “Support and Solidarity Movement” campaign to provide them with coronavirus testing services, emotional support, food, education, and personal protective equipment.

Using the label #JUNTOS2020, the Foundation together with its allies in this effort, CharityStars, Fundación Juan Luis Guerra, Global Gift Foundation, Hispanic Federation, JetBlue, SER de Puerto Rico, Medtronic Puerto Rico, and Wendy's Puerto Rico, initiates this new effort of fundraising to direct aids and services in favor of protecting those who cannot do it for themselves.

“During this global emergency, it is our duty to continue helping the most vulnerable communities, those who cannot face this virus alone. Please help us with your donation at: CharityStars.com/RMF, and join the Movement of Support and Solidarity of the Ricky Martin Foundation”, warned the philanthropist.

In the line of humanitarian aid, Wendy's Puerto Rico made a great contribution, and will be raising funds through all its restaurants to bring food to the most needy in these communities.

“Wendy's joining the Support and Solidarity Movement reaffirms our long-standing commitment to the Ricky Martin Foundation and its cause,” said Jorge Colón Gerena, President of Wendy's PR. “On this occasion we become a tool for the Puerto Rican people to show their great generosity with our most vulnerable brothers and sisters.”

The “Support and Solidarity Movement” will also include services to address the mental health of those affected by depression, anxiety or fear, and will also offer educational workshops to guarantee individual care and protection in the face of this pandemic that is currently reaching numbers of infections and highest deaths in the world.

All donations will go to the Ricky Martin Foundation to direct this humanitarian work and can be made through the main platform of the effort: www.CharityStars.com/RMF, the restaurants of Wendy's Puerto Rico and ATH Móvil: /RickyMartinFoundation.
